The Big Breakfast

in the Village Field, Stanton Drew, Bristol BS39 4EJ

Sunday July 14th, 2019

Back again by popular demand!

Once again, The Big Breakfast will be served by the jovial members of Chelwood Rotary Club in the marquee at Stanton Drew Village Field. The club runs a number of fundraisers each year, including The Big Breakfast, the proceeds of which are used to help people in such organisations as Wizzybug, Children’s Hospice South West, Cancer Research UK and also many local groups.

The club’s main international project is Water Survival Box, which has been established for 12 years, and in that time has delivered in the region of 14,000  boxes containing safe water filters and other items to disasters around the world.  Fundraising for this project alone is in excess of £1.6 million.

We should arrive from about 10:30 am for the first C&H sitting at 11:00 am.  This will enable the village people to be served earlier and then browse our display of classic vehicles.

After Breakfast

Having enjoyed our hearty breakfast we will then take a 30 mile route to South Gloucestershire for our visit to Old Down Country Park, where there is a wonderfully relaxed environment set in 66 acres of grounds, with a farm shop, animal park & Victorian walled garden, plus many features for all of the family.

We have reserved a room in The Manor House, which has panoramic views across the River Severn to the rolling hills of Gloucestershire & Wales beyond.

Tea & cake will be available at a cost of £5 per person, payable at the venue.

Costs:   The Big Breakfast:             £9.50 /person (£4.50 /child under 12),

Tea & cake at Old Down: £5.00 / person (payable on the day).
