August has been busy for classic car events – with the C&H Breakfast Meet and the Garage sale events both being well attended and enjoyable. There were a host of other events locally where C&H members were spotted enjoying themselves – including the annual Norton Radstock Classic Vehicle Club meet at Camerton – it was so popular, they had to turn cars away….Further afield, the Silverstone Festival (formerly Silverstone Classic) was its usual high standard with excellent classic racing and so many classic car clubs attending, you could have spent all weekend looking at them rather than the racing!
Coming up in September (and October) we have several events for you too – see the Calendar page for full details. The Castle Combe Autumn Classic event still has spaces on the club stand if you are quick – don’t forget that you need the code from Classix magazine to book your space on the stand! Also in September is the new Sociable Sunday Trundle event as well as the new mid-week lunch meet.
URGENT! URGENT! YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU!
SADLY, OUR CLUB MENDIP TOUR COMMITTEE HAVE RETIRED!
IF WE DON’T FORM A NEW COMMITTEE IT WILL MEAN NO MENDIP TOUR IN 2025.
CAN YOU BE PART OF THIS FABULOUS EVENT?
THE 2025 MENDIP TOUR SET UP WILL NEED TO BE STARTED FROM 1ST
SEPTEMBER.
PLEASE CONTACT ROGER DOLLINS NOW TO FIND OUT HOW THE MENDIP
TOUR COMMITTEE HAS BEEN SET UP PREVIOUSLY AND ANSWER ANY
QUESTIONS.
COULD YOU BE PART OF A NEW COMMITTEE AND RUN IT YOUR WAY?
On behalf of our Club & Myself, I want to thank the Mendip Tour committee for
producing a fantastic and successful event for our Club since 2015. Raising money for
our Club and many Charities, and other organisations and of course Wells Cathedral.
Giving enormous pleasure to all who have taken part in it.
They have kindly said they will give as much support to the new committee as they
require or ask for Roger Dollins: Club Chairman
