The Chipping Sodbury Run 2023

Hi, we are very pleased to announce that entries are open for our Classic Car Run which will take place on Sunday 25th June 2023.  We look forward to a further full entry for what will be our 27th run this year.
We would be delighted if you could join us this year and enclose the relevant entry documents for your use. This invite is personal to you and as we were very oversubscribed last year, you will see that we are currently restricting our entrants as described. We hope that there is sufficient information to deal with you queries but if not, please feel free to e-mail me for advice.
We hope to have a bumper event this year and with your support we aim to make a surplus to add to our Rotary Club of Chipping Sodbury Charity Trust Fund. Information which you provide will be kept on a password protected database which will only be used for Classic Run contact to you. Under GDPR you agree to us holding and using your data for the prescribed purpose and no other reason. You have received this document as we have your details from previous contact. If you no longer wish to be included, then please let us know and your name will be deleted and we thank you for your past support.
Regards & Keep Safe
Mark

The Bath Festival of Motoring 2023

Just a quick reminder that exhibitor registration for this year’s Bath Festival of Motoring is open, and we’d love to see you join the 300+ exhibitors that have already registered. This year’s festival will take place on Father’s Day weekend, the 17th – 18th June at Walcot Rugby Ground in Bath.

All proceeds from the festival go to charity with this year’s chosen charities being the Great Western Air Ambulance and St Mungo’s. Last year we raised over £20,000 and we are hoping to surpass that this year!

WEDNESDAY 19th April, 2023 (from 6:00 pm)

Springtime is here!

OUR last meeting took place on Thursday 16th March, when we had a good attendance for a winter month. The weather was dry and it gave us an opportunity to get our classic cars out in West Wiltshire. A couple of cars failed to proceed, having been awoken during their winter slum-bers.

It was lovely to meet everybody and personally to see Anthony, whom I had not seen for quite a few years, who came to the event in his Bentley Beast! The classic car scene is packed with events this year and personally I’ve had to work out carefully which ones I can attend without the fear of divorce from Mission Control.

Our next meeting, being held on April 19th from 6:00 pm, will be our first meet-up when we can look forward to the evening meetings taking place on a WEDNESDAY.

The West Wilts Classic Car Meeting is something nice to look forward to during these dreary months, where you can brave it in your classic, or bring something modern – it doesn’t matter. The important thing is to get out and chat with like-minded friends. Since its inception from summer 2021 the distribution list has now grown to over 100 people. Our venue stays the same at the wonderful Pear Tree, hosted by the lovely Jackie.

It’s been wonderful to meet new enthusiasts at this growing event with such a diversity of cars making an appearance. If you have not been to this event and fancy meeting some new friends at this low key meetup, then do come along.

If you would like to eat, please contact The Pear Tree direct and mention the Classic Car group and they will attempt to put us in the same area. Otherwise, you can have a drink and there is a chance that you can eat in the Bar/Outside and of course you may wish to attend just to have a drink. Please book your food!

Forthcoming dates for your diary:

Wednesday 19th April (18:00 pm); Wednesday 17th May (18:00 pm)
