MENDIP VINTAGE & CLASSIC TOUR

12/02/20 UPDATE – THE MENDIP TOUR IS NOW FULL!

We will still accept entries at this time, but these will be placed on the Reserve List. Entry forms are at the bottom of the page.

Sunday May 17th 2020

This year, our start will be at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, Wraxall, with the route taking in some of the superb countryside and views across the Mendip Hills before arriving at The Bath and West Showground for the lunch break. A delicious hot served buffet lunch will be available in The Wessex Pavilion for those who have pre-booked, or entrants can enjoy their own picnic lunch outside in the grounds.

In the afternoon, a shorter route will take entrants back to the spectacular finish on the lawns in front of Wells Cathedral, where cream teas will be available for those who have booked them. The Presentation of the Awards will also take place on the Green. The total mileage this year will, as usual, be around 80 miles.

We are pleased to announce that this year we will be supporting The British Heart Foundation, who will benefit from the Mendip Tour, and will help them continue their amazing work.

Final details, bespoke rally plates and instructions (including routes to the start) will be forwarded to you a week or so before the event, together with all the tickets required for your coffees, lunches and cream teas. Please ensure that any extra cream tea tickets required for friends or family are booked, as cream teas will not be available without a ticket.

We only have a certain number of places, due to venue limitations, and the Mendip Vintage & Classic Tour normally fills up very quickly. So please don’t hesitate if you wish to take part, please enter as soon as you are able to.

We are very grateful for the support of IAN STUDLEY CARS who are generously sponsoring the event.

Have a look at the great photographs of the 2019 Anniversary Tour on our Mendip Tour Gallery Page including some really nice overviews of the Cathedral Green and a special one of the Ston Easton display of cars outside the house.

For Non-Members of the Classic & Historic Motor Club, please note the following:

Due to the GDPR regulations that were introduced in 2018, the Classic & Historic Motor Club is no longer allowed to keep personal information without express permission from the relevant person.

For the 2019 Mendip Tour, we added a tick box which if ticked, gave us permission to keep their postal details allowing us to send out entry forms for the 2020 event.

Previously, we had posted out forms to entrants from the previous 2 years – this, unfortunately, we can no longer do.

So, if you ticked the box on your entry form for the 2019 Mendip Tour, you should receive a set of entry forms in the post.

If you didn’t tick the box, or didn’t enter in 2019, you will not be on our mailing list for the event, and so will need to download entry forms from this page at the beginning of February 2020.

We apologise if this causes any inconvenience, but as you can imagine, we must comply with any new regulations.

We look forward to seeing you in May.
