The New year Trundle 2019

The New Year Trundle – 13th January 2019

THE first C&H event of 2019 was a sell-out! Following on from the annual Christmas Lunch in December, which was also a sell-out, it speaks volumes for the continuing popularity of the Club that it can turn out nearly 90 members twice in just over a month.

The most obvious difference with the NYT is that, as the name implies, it has a ‘Trundle’ attached to it, which meant that the great majority of entrants turned up in a classic car of some sort in order to drive the 21 mile route from the start at The New Manor Farm Shop, near Bishop Sutton, to the lunch venue at the Batch Country House at Lympsham, near Weston-super-Mare.

After the meal, Roger Dollins presented the awards for 2018. The loudest cheer of the afternoon by far was reserved for Ann Budd when she went up to receive the ABCD award. Well done Ann, and well done everyone else who received an award!
