The Big Breakfast is back!
25TH JULY 2021
Having missed out in 2020, we are pleased to bring back the Big Breakfast Run for its 10th year. Traditionally, Chelwood Rotary Club holds its Big Breakfast on the Sunday after the village Flower Show, in a large marquee on Stanton Drew Village Field. However, due to the current situation, the Flower Show is moving to September, but the breakfast will take place as planned on the 25th July. Some things will change, with ‘dining’ now taking place in the adjacent Village Hall, BS39 4EL, due to the absence of the marquee. Signing-on will be from 10:30 am.
The gentlemen of the Rotary will work tirelessly to ensure our needs are well catered for and will be providing half-hourly sittings for our Club members.
In recognition of the event’s 10th Anniversary, the C&H has generously reduced the entry fee to £5 per car. The cost of the breakfast is £10 per person (£5 for children under 14). This will include fruit, juices, a Full English, toast, tea or coffee, all served at your table. All proceeds will go to support local Rotary charities.
The event is open to C&H CLUB MEMBERS ONLY.
We estimate the first cars will leave the village at approximately mid-day, to follow a scenic route provided by Margaret & Geoff Baker, to Iford Manor, near Bradford-on-Avon, BA15 2BA.
The Grade 1 listed gardens were created by the Edwardian designer, Harold Peto, when Iford was his home from 1899 to 1933, and are well worth a visit, or you may decide to just relax with a cup of tea & cake in the beautiful setting at the heart of the Frome River Valley.
