Ladies Crafting Morning

26th October 2023

During the recent wet but very pleasant Sunday afternoon tea event in Bristol a group of C&H Ladies were having a chat about crafting and, guess what, Christmas!!

As a result of our conversation, I have provisionally booked St Thomass Church Hall, in Wells, for the morning of 26th October for a crafting session. This venue has its own car park and is on the main Bath Road dropping down into Wells (adjacent to the Budgens Garage and St. Thomass Church). I have especially chosen the morning for the session in order that ladies are not driving home in the dark. Arrival from 9.30 for a 10.00 am start, to give us three hours crafting time.

The main theme will be recycling and hopefully will result in each crafter proudly taking home a hessian angel and a rustic bottle or jar. Both items have been much admired by all who have seen them in the past and participants generally feel proud of the item they have made.

There is of course a charge for the half day hire of the Hall so the cost would be £5 per person. There will also be a modest charge for the materials, which I will have available. You might like to bring your own scissors and PVA glue. I am happy to provide tea or coffee and cake, and if anybody wishes to bring a sandwich or snack then that is fine. The kitchen and toilets are incorporated into the hall which should, by the end of October, be well heated.

This event can only go ahead if there is enough interest. A friend could be invited, not necessarily a Car Club member but numbers will be limited. Please see contact details in Septembers Classix magazine.
