On Friday 19th June we have arranged a visit to the newly opened Street Shoemakers museum for £8 per person including a coffee instead of £12.
We will have exclusive access for the day, weather permitting, to park on the lawn in front of the museum in our classic cars, non classics are welcome to come and can park in the public car park, a parking pass is available for them.
The Shoemakers Museum is a brand new visitor experience which opened to the public in September 2025. A family-friendly attraction that celebrates 200 years of shoemaking history through the eyes of the shoemakers, telling the stories behind Clarks shoes in the place where it all began in Street, Somerset.
Discover a remarkable collection of over 100,000 objects, highlights of which will be on display in the museum’s four galleries: Welcome to Street, Making shoes, Selling and buying, and Fossils.
Most people will have a memory of their favourite shoes and Shoemakers Museum is a new destination for visitors to meet the makers and celebrate and share their stories.
You will be able to tour the museum at your leisure and view the history of Clarks shoes, machinery displays as well as marine fossils that were found in Street.
Light lunches are available at the museum cafe or you can go further afield while and do a bit of browsing in Clarks Village.
