The club have again been approached by the Crandon Springs care home in Wells, we visited last year, and have been asked if we would visit again with 6 – 8 cars to give some of the residents a bit of a treat. We have agreed a date and time with the wellbeing co-ordinator of Wednesday 10th September at 2pm. I am looking for 6 – 8 volunteers, with cars, so if you can offer to support this event please email julian.barber@hotmail.co.uk. Last year we stopped for an informal pre-visit light lunch at the Burcott Inn, Burcott and were then treated to tea and a large selection of magnificent cakes at the care home later in the day. These visits are very rewarding and give the residents an opportunity to experience something that they would not normally be able to. Lots of interest and some good informed conversations from those that share our passion!
