Evercreech Show 2026
A bit of a social & picnic
Saturday 5th September 2026
For the past four years the C&H have been displaying cars at the Evercreech Show. The late
Trish Burridge had organised this from 2022 to 2024 and in 2025 it was organised by Jules
Barber.
Evercreech Show is a remarkably large and well run village event that includes all those
very English things you would expect at a Flower Show – as well as some things entirely
unexpected! The big marquee encompasses the flowers, fruit, vegetables, baking, craft and
art exhibits you would expect but out in the field you can see vintage tractors, classic cars,
various side shows, and even circus skills demonstrations! Last year the cars were judged
and Gerald Burridge made the first presentation of the Trish Burridge Memorial Trophy to
Douglas and Susan Whitaker for their ‘Best In Show’ 1957 Alpha Romeo, certificates were
also presented to the runners up. Josie Wood was very pleased to receive two first and one
third prize for the baking that she entered!
The organisers have approached us asking that we again support their event on September
5th 2026 hence this call for cars. As the show opens to the public at 12noon we will need to
be parked by 11.30am.
There will be food and drink available, but you are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch as
there is plenty of room to spread out. (Of course the weather will be good – it has been for
the last four years!). It has always been a great social event for those that have come in the
past!
We are looking for 15 volunteers to bring along their classic and participate in this event.
Please contact Jules – email julian.barber@hotmail.co.uk full direction details will be sent
out to those interested nearer the time.
This is a strictly no dogs event !
