For the past three years the late Trish Burridge had organised for a number of club members to bring their cars along to this very ‘English’ event.
Evercreech Show is a remarkably large and well run village event that includes all those very English things you would expect at a Flower Show – as well as some things entirely unexpected! The big marquee encompasses the flowers, fruit, vegetables, baking, craft and art exhibits you would expect but out in the field you can see vintage tractors, classic cars, various side shows, and even circus skills demonstrations!
I have made contact with the organisers and they would very much like for the C&H to support their event again this year, hence this call for cars. As the show opens to the public at 12noon we will need to be in situ by 11.45am for the public admission at 12 noon. There will hopefully be a ‘burger’ van on site, but you are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch as there is plenty of room to spread out. (Of course the weather will be good – it has been for the last three years!). It has always been a great social event for those that have come in the past, as you can see from the photo above.
