The Big Breakfast has been confirmed for 2022 for Sunday 10th July.
IT was eleven years ago when, as a club, we held the first Big Breakfast in Stanton Drew Village Field, served and waited upon by the gentlemen of the Chelwood Bridge Rotary Club. The event was named ‘Route 66,’ as after breakfast we drove to the American Museum at Claverton Down, Bath. Here, we were fortunate to view the collection of Marilyn Monroe’s dresses, and also to experience an American civil war re-enactment whilst enjoying tea on the terrace.
For various reasons, this year’s Big Breakfast, on Sunday July 10th, will be our ‘swan song,’ and in order to replicate the original, we shall be returning to the American Museum.
The panoramic views of the Limpley Stoke Valley from the gardens is outstanding, and although there have been many changes to the access over the years, we have secured permission to park in front of the mansion, just as we did eleven years ago!
